Our first official event with a PICYA club -- we will be hosted by Sausalito Yacht Club the weekend of March 12 - 14th.
SYC has 10 moorings immediately in front of the club house and I currently have them reserved for BCBC. Right now we have 6 boats participating - 5 taking moorings and 1 seeking out a nearby slip. Please plan to attend this first-of-its kind event for BCBC!!! IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND, PLEASE RSVP AS SOON AS YOU CAN. I need a boat count and a head count to finalize plans for a potential event on Saturday afternoon, and for dinner planning for Saturday night.
If anyone cannot make it with their boat, please join us by land for dinner! Again, please RSVP to and sign up on Club Express this week if you can.
Friday 3/12 will be arrivals and Happy Hour at the SYC bar. Dinner will be on your own. Saturday 3/13 - I am hopeful to have an afternoon outing for us all. Followed by dinner at SYC. The menu is being figured out right now, as well as pricing. But please plan on the $40 range. Sunday will be up to individual Captains - although SYC claims to have a delicious brunch!
Also, several members are securing slips - instead of moorings - at nearby SausalitoYacht Harbor. In addition, there is another option for a couple of slips - this comes from a BCBC member:
We'll be part of the event since we're berthed at Clipper. There are (2) 40 ft. slips right next to us that can be used for the week-end (Thursday through Sunday or Monday). I can make arrangements at Clipper -- I think the cost is nominal -- or not at all. SKYLARK is 42' so they will take up to 43' depending on beam. Great slips, new showers, views and fun neighbors. Quick dinghy sprint to SYC. Let me know.
So now you have LOTS of options for attending this event. I need to firm up dinner plans shortly, so please let me know if you plan to participate - and how many in your party. Thanks much!
